Paris Photography Exhibition 2016

Once a year in Paris is organized the « Salon de la Photographie » that regroups professional, amateur and passionate. Therefore brands, show their new products and innovations. Thus as an amateur photograph who love photography I really wanted to go there to test some lenses, a tripod and simply meet people. So, I really recommend you to prepare ahead and spot which exhibitioners you want to see and where to go. Aside from the exposition you can assist to several conference during the five days (before going always check out the planning on the website).

Test it !

The exhibition is divided in two floors, you can see CANON, SIGMA, Manfrotto…and test their products. You have to try the lens on their camera, if you want to take pictures and keep track you have to bring your own memory card. Go stand to stand, test some lenses directly on your camera (often keeping your ID) and look at photography accessories. You can’t buy on the stands however you can buy several products at the FNAC stand or at the “market place” (village des ventes) at the end of the 2nd floor.

Enjoy preferential prices

The 1st floor is dedicated to photography websites, newspapers, classes, online album makers…….and also some exhibitions. The photography class providers stand are on this floor so that’s an opportunity to talk to the creator, discuss and take classes with a preferential price (a lot of exhibitioners offer reductions/preferential prices, it’s really worth it).

Innovations

The exhibition is also the occasion to see innovations. For example, at Canon you can test out the EOS 7D Mark II. At the end of salon, Harcourt studio created a photobooth and you can take a “Harcourt style” photo. Therefore for 10€ you can have your makeup done. Finally, the real photo will be printed directly and will also be send by email. Part of the price you paid will be given to the Téléthon
