Stockholm Free Guided Tour(Click on the photo : Events calendar)

The city of Stockholm looks like a gathering of little islands. If you arrive in Stockholm by the central station go to the information point to have a useful map of the city, guides, informations,…..

#1 Use Airbnb

I really recommend to use Airbnb to find a room for the weekend for a reasonable price and close to the city center. I think that Airbnb is a good alternative while traveling.

#2 Gamla Stan

Gamla stan is like a little island near the city center, you can find a lot of shops, historical monuments such as churchs, palace, houses,…This neighbourhood has a lot of charm and hidden places to discover. Gamla stan is well serve by public transport (T13, T14, T17, T18, T19: Gamla Stan stop).  Assist to traditional swedish dance in front of the Nobel Museu and if you want to taste typical swedish food I warmly recommend you the restaurant Gästabud . The swedish meatball are a “Must eat” !

#3 Palaces

In Stockholm there is more than one palace (such as the Drottningholm palace) but because of a time and distance limits you should chose to focus on one such as the royal palce (Kungliga Slottet), in Gamla stan, the official residence of the King,  see the Royal Apartments and the Treasury. It take 2 hours to visit the palace and the treasury. The outside looks really simple but the interior is well-decorated and rich. Don’t forget to look up to enjoy the paintings and sculptures on the ceiling, Heads up !
