A weekend in Gothenburg (Part 1)

Hi everyone ! Are you wondering how to spend your weekend in Gothenburg/ Göteborg ? Let’s talk about visits, walks and sightseeing. So here is what I think is a “Must see” in Gothenburg. Follow the guide !

#1 Haga Nygata

One of the easiest way to visit the city centre is to walk from Brunnsparken station to Haga neighbourhood. It’s one of the best way to enjoy the atmosphere of the city and the architecture of the buildings. You can start from the Göteborg University main building and follow the street vasagatan to Haga Nygata (one of the entrance of Haga).

#2 Café Husaren

If you want to make a break the café Husaren is a good adress for drinking coffee and eating delicious pastries such as the largest cinnamon bun in the entire world !If you want to learn about Fika and swedish sweets read my previous article : here.

#3 Skansen kronan

If you walk a little in the Haga Neighbourhood you will see stairs and if you follow them you will arive on the Skansen kronan, which is on top of Haga and you can have a 360° degrees view. Enjoy ! On top of the Skansen kronan you can see two chuches from afar.

#4 Oscar Frederiks Church

One of the church I recommend you to visit is the Oscar Frederiks Church (Oscar Fredriks Kyrkogata 1a). The artistic architecture of the church and the immpressive rosette. This church is “close” to Haga so it’s a good opportunity to visit it if you are in the area.

#5 Masthuggskyrkan

Another church to visit is Masthuggskyrkan (Storebackegatan 15, Göteborg 413 18) which have a wooden interior and have one of the best panorama view. It’s close from the previous church but you will have to walk almost  20-25 minutes or you can take a bus or a tram to go there.
